Mitel Management Access Point

The Mitel Management Access point is a gateway for remotely administering, monitoring and servicing Mitel Integrated Platforms (ICP), including the Mitel 3300 Telephone System. Installed on your Local Area Network (LAN) the Management access point provides service technicians with an access point in to your remote network, maintenance and diagnostic ports. It provides service technicians with a reliable remote service interface, so that they can efficiently resolve the customers issue without asking them to relinquish control over access security. This can help you cut costs in your business greatly, saving money with fewer on-site visits and will also improve repsonse times.

Customer Security

Management Access point provides the latest in dial up networking and Virtual Private Network (VPN) security. This includes MS-CHAPv2 and128bit encryption supported for internet VPN connections as well as CLI (Command Line Interface)-based or IP(Internet Protocol)-address screening. It also offers a firewall that restricts access to customer specified IP addresses and service ports.

Easy Configuration

The Management Access point is easily configurable based on a simple menu driven interface. Remote service engineers can easily establish connections based on Microsoft dial up networking and VPN (Virtual Private Network) client capabilities.

Alarm Monitoring

All Management Access Point units include integrated alarm monitoring functionality for the Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform. Management Access Point units continuously monitor customer systems and relay alarm conditions via SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), dial up or email to one or two destinations. When the alarm triggers the Management Access Point unit automatically obtains information from the device to determine the urgency of the situation. A Management Access Point can monitor multiple systems up to its device limit of five or sixteen, depending on the model.
