Remote working with the Mitel 3300 Telephone System
The Mitel Teleworker Solution means that employees can work remotely with full access to their voicemail, conferencing and other additional features of the office telephone system. It also reduces overheads as well as increasing the productivity and efficiency of remote workers.
This service is a secure plug and play solution which turns any Mitel IP phone into a teleworker set. Combining the Mitel Applications Suite (MAS), the Mitel Border Gateway Application (MBG) and SIP Proxy services, businesses can deliver a secure and full "in office" unified communications experience to all remote workers.
The Teleworker solution is comprised of two parts. The first part is the application that is downloaded to the Managed Application Server. Once this is installed and configured the application allows the Manager Application Server to function as a proxy for remote phones that require access to the company voice network. The second element of the Teleworker Solution is the remote phone. The current phones supported by the Teleworker Solution include the Mitel 5312, 5324, 5330, 5340 IP phones and the Mitel Navigator and Mitel Your Assistant Softphones.
To make sure that the confidentiality of communications between the remote IP Phone and the Teleworker solution gateway is kept intact the Secure Real-time Transport Protocol encrypts all of the voice packets. Secure RTP adds confidentiality, message authentication and replay protection to the protocol.
